Ruislip Ruislip (pronounced “rice-lip”) is a place in the London borough of Hillingdon, in Northwest London. Ruislip is unique in containing five tube stations allowing for easy commuting.

Transport Transport links within Ruislip are extensive with five tube stations, seven bus routes and two rail stations. Only Ealing equals the quantity of tube stations and therefore living in Ruislip can offer many travel benefits. Many people from Ruislip think that they are special because of this and they often forget about Ealing! The tube stations offer a variety of destinations to choose from including:
Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines to London and/or Uxbridge from Ruislip Manor and Ruislip tube stations.
London from West Ruislip, Ruislip Gardens and South Ruislip. Midlands or Marylebone with National Rail from South Ruislip and Ruislip Gardens.
The seven bus routes offer a variety of destinations to choose from including Ealing Broadway Station, Greenford Station, Uxbridge Station, Northwood Station, Westway Cross, Rayners Lane, Harrow and Mill Hill. Whichever route is desired they run at a minimum of every 12 minutes up to every hour depending on the time of day and weekends.
If your chosen transport is by vehicle then there is easy access to the A40 and M40 via the Polish War Memorial Roundabout also quick and easy access to the M25 via junction 16 of the M40.

Education Facilities There are numerous excellent primary schools and high schools in the Ruislip area. Most of the schools in Ruislip are ‘Community’ schools, owned and funded by the council. In addition, there are some ‘Voluntary Aided’ schools that are funded by the council but are the property of other organisations. These are Church of England and Roman Catholic Schools.

Shopping & Restaurants Shopping in Ruislip contains a number of individual and multi retail locations including Ruislip High Street and Ruislip Manor and also Braintree Road Industrial Estate and Breakspear Road Industrial Estate. Both types of shopping include a number of high street shopping brands and the added advantage of big names such as Homebase, DFS, Currys and Argos.
There are local restaurants located in Ruislip and Ruislip manor which offer a variety of international cuisine to suit all tastes from modern British , European, Indian and south east Asian.

Sports & Leisure Ruislip houses the Ruislip lido which is a man made reservoir transformed into swimming reservoir and beach. This has been the attraction for many people whether summer for swimming and sunbathing or winter when frozen for ice skating. The Ruislip Lido features a pub/restaurant ‘The Waters Edge’ and a miniature railway that runs from one side of the Lido to the other. Ruislip Lido is a volunteer run attraction and is therefore free for any visitors seeking a walk on a pleasant day or a family outing for the day.
